Jewelry
The metals we feature in our designs are purchased only in the United States and include 14 Karat Gold-Filled and Sterling Silver. We use these metals because they provide the highest quality at the most affordable price.
14K Gold-filled is a durable gold product affording the look of solid gold at a fraction of the cost. It is made by bonding a layer of 14K Gold to a base metal, usually brass, through heat and pressure. (Think of the base metal as a sponge and the layer of gold filling in the holes when heated.) It is sturdier than gold plate — which has an ultra-thin coating and can turn colors and eventually chip off — or vermeil, which can rub off through normal wear. 14/20 Gold-Filled materials are regulated by the Federal Trade Commission and must contain 1/20th of 14K Gold.
If you can wear gold, you can wear gold-filled without worries of an allergic reaction as all of our jewelry is nickel-free. Judith is very allergic to nickel and can wear every piece in the line with no problem.
We offer Argentium Sterling Silver where possible, because it is a pure silver with the alloy Germanium (rather than the usual copper), which reduces tarnishing considerably.
See a complete list of gemstones we carry as well as their metaphysical properties! We carry all of our gemstones in our smallest size (rondelle), however not each of our gemstones is available in every size offered. If you have any questions about gemstone availability, feel free to email us here; or call one of our Nashville or Atlanta gurus! Our Nashville store phone number is (615)269-5600, and our Atlanta store phone number is (404)803-0915!
Unfortunately, no. We are unable to work with any materials other than our own.
No! That’s never a good idea with any of your jewelry.
The metals we use can tarnish like solid gold, due to several factors such as perfume, perspiration, soap, chemicals, and body chemistry. Some days, depending on your ph or your lotions, your finger can darken underneath a ring. We’ve even found that when we are low on iron, our skin can darken temporarily. Luckily, you can use a silver polishing cloth and Dawn dishwashing soap to keep your jewelry looking as good as new. Sometimes our finest chains will darken permanently if they are worn constantly, showered in or swam in, in either the ocean or a pool.
No! Judith is super-allergic to nickel and is able to wear all of our jewelry.
Absolutely! Each of our chokers and necklaces is available in many different length options! Just choose your desired length from the drop-down menu on our website! Each additional inch of length is just $5!
If you would like a length not listed on the product drop-down menu, please message us here. The charge will be proportionate to what you need! No worries, we make adjustments all the time and we are so glad to do it. We want everyone in all shapes and sizes to wear our jewelry.
Our passion at JB is making jewelry that is not only beautiful but meaningful. Every piece is 100% customizable within the product line, which means that you can choose your own gem, your own metal, your own combinations, and your own size. Because every single piece of our jewelry is handmade by artisans in our studio, we can customize our pieces to fit your needs and wants. That includes sizing. Bracelets and cuffs can be made to accommodate wrists of all sizes, necklaces can be shortened or extended, and rings are available in sizes that are otherwise hard to find.
We only do custom sizing and customization within our designs. For instance, you can have 90% of our jewelry in 14K Gold-Filled, Rose Gold-Filled and sterling silver and in up to 40 different gemstones.
We want you to wear your jewelry and we certainly don’t want it sitting in a drawer. That’s why we will do whatever we can to make your piece fit you and your personal style perfectly. If you receive a piece that needs an adjustment, don't hesitate to contact us!

Sizing
Click here for our size guide.
For rings:
Download our ring/cuff sizer here and make sure to print it at 100%. To use the tool, find a ring that fits the finger you are buying for and find the circle that most closely matches it. If you still are not sure you can go to any jewelry store and they will be glad to size you.
For cuffs and clasps:
Download our ring/cuff sizer here and make sure to print it at 100%. Find a piece of non-stretchy string or paper. Wrap it around your wrist. Using a pen, mark the point on the string or paper where it overlaps, forming a complete circle. Use the ruler below to determine your cuff size. Refer to the measurements on the size options on the cuff you are wanting to purchase. If you are between sizes, order the larger size.
Care & Repairs
With proper care and careful wear, your Judith Bright jewelry should last a lifetime. Here are some tips for wearing and loving your favorite one of a kind, handmade pieces:
— Do not wear your jewelry in the shower, bath, swimming pool or ocean. Our metals are of high quality, but water will always find a way to wear away at metal.
— Wait until all lotion, sunscreen, medicine, and perfume are dry before putting on your jewelry.
— For cleaning, gold filled and silver jewelry can be treated the same way- using your silver polishing cloth and then gently clean with Dawn dish soap and warm water. For some pieces, it may be appropriate to use a soft-bristled toothbrush to clean them. When you are not wearing your jewelry, place it in a cloth bag to halt the tarnishing process.
We want to keep you in your JB, therefore we are happy to provide repairs! The fee is 15% of the original cost of your piece.
The majority of jewelry that comes back for repair is not due to how it is made, but rather improper care of jewelry. Please understand that if we receive your piece and it needs repair due to how it was assembled, we will process it with no fee!
With proper care and careful wear, your Judith Bright jewelry should last a lifetime. If you do happen to need a repair, follow the steps below. If your jewelry arrived broken, please email gurus@judithbright.com.

2. Bring your jewelry and form into a Judith Bright store or ship it to:

Thank you so much!

Our XL Hoops are hand-hammered and hand-formed. They are very delicate. Please handle with care. Resist the urge to pull on them or twist them. Be the most careful when you are removing them. We all wear them and when handled with care, they will retain their original shape. If yours have lost their shape, please return them and we will restore them to their original shape.
Our beads are made from real sandalwood. Sandalwood is rare and should be treated carefully. Please do not get them wet or sweaty as that will cause them to dry out and turn white. Imagine putting a glass of water on an unfinished table and how that creates a white ring. It’s the same process. If you find yours to be dried out, please send them back to the store or drop them by and we’ll refresh them with some sandalwood oils. If you find them losing their smell, put them in a ziplock bag overnight and their scent should be restored. You could also call our Nashville store to purchase sandalwood oil! Just be sure to use no more than one drop of oil!
Often people wear perfume and lotions and the beads take on that smell. If you wear them a lot - and we hope you do - they will definitely start to smell more like you!
They will also "get good" meaning they will become darker and shinier. The beads are strung on traditional elastic. The best way for the bracelets to retain their shape is for you to roll them off your arm. Resist pulling on them prior to removing them. Nothing will stretch them out faster.
We get these sturdy seeds from the Reetha Fruit tree found in Nepal. The only thing to remember is not to pull on them excessively which will loosen the threads and not to get them wet.
Our eternally popular hoops close with a Y closure mechanism. The post through the ear clicks down into a Y shape. If it gets loose, please squeeze the bottom of the Y. If it’s too tight, simply put your fingernail down into the Y to loosen it up a bit. People who wear our posts tend to wear them all the time. They will get loose simply by repetition of wear. It’s a pretty straightforward process, but please feel free to contact us for an explanation if it is at all confusing.
Our clasps are hand-hammered and hand-formed. They should click at the closure but after repeated wear, they may become loose. If you find yours to be loose, please come into the stores and we will tighten them up for you. Alternatively, you can send them in for tightening.
Our nested jewelry pieces are delicate mini-sculptures with only a dab of glue to secure the hand wire wrapping. Please treat with care and resist applying pressure to the wire surrounding the gemstones. Ease the backs onto post earrings, and handle rings by their shanks, and nested cuffs and bangles by the metal only. With proper care, your Judith Bright jewelry will last a lifetime!
Exchanges & Returns
We want you to wear your jewelry - and love it. If you don’t, just send it back to us! For example, if you’d like a different stone or metal, we’re happy to swap it out. We want you to feel as good about your jewelry as you do about us. We see you as we do our BFF, our mom, and our sister, and you can expect to be treated as such!
Judith Bright LLC happily accepts returns for a full refund in the original form of payment within 60 days of original purchase and exchanges within 120 days of your initial purchase.
Returned jewelry must be unworn and in its original condition to be accepted as a return or exchange. Be sure to have your jewelry returned or exchanged in its original packaging.
A Judith Bright associate must be able to locate the original purchase in our system for proof of purchase, with either a receipt copy or the name of the original purchaser.
Judith Bright LLC reserves the right to exercise discretion in denying returns due to the condition of the product or lack of proof of purchase. Express shipping on an original order is non-refundable.
INITIATING A RETURN OR EXCHANGE
- Download our Return and Exchanges form and fill out all info regarding your return or exchange.
- Package the item(s) you are exchanging or returning (preferably in the same packaging you received). If you no longer have that, please make sure to package your jewelry in a padded envelope or a box to prevent any damage during transit.
- Email us at gurus@judithbright.com to receive a pre-paid shipping label.
- Finally, drop the package in your mailbox or drop it off at your local post office.
Email gurus@judithbright.com if you have any questions or need assistance.
Absolutely. We offer no-hassle returns. You can either come in and get your money credited to your card, exchange it for something else, or put the balance on a gift card to use in the future.
Careful preparation of your package helps to ensure safe delivery.
THE BOX
Choose a box with enough room for cushioning material around the contents. Sturdy paperboard or corrugated fiberboard boxes are best for weights up to 10 pounds. If you are reusing a box, totally remove or obliterate all previous labels and markings with heavy black marker.
WHERE TO FIND BOXES
You can purchase boxes and tubes of various sizes at most Post Offices. Select Priority Mail Express and Priority Mail boxes are available free at the Post Office for items sent using either of these services. While you are not required to use the free packaging for these services, you must use the USPS-produced address label provided by the Post Office for Priority Mail Express. To order Priority Mail Express or Priority Mail boxes at no extra charge, call 1·800·222·1811 or visit www.usps.com/store.
CUSHIONING
Place the cushioning all around your item or items. You can use newspaper, “foam peanuts,” or shredded paper. Close and shake the box to see if you have enough cushioning. If you hear items shifting, add more cushioning.
Placing an extra address label with the delivery and return addresses inside the package will ensure that the item can be delivered in case the outside label becomes damaged or falls off.
MAILING FRAGILE ITEMS
Use foamed plastic or padding to protect your items, placing the cushioning inside hollow items as well. Mark the package “Fragile” or mark “Perishable” on packages that contain food or other items that can spoil. Careful packaging is the best way to safeguard your valuable items against damage.
MAILING HEAVY ITEMS
If you are mailing a very heavy or very dense item, start with a sturdy box, pack the contents securely with a strong material for bracing to prevent shifting, and tape all the edges with reinforced tape. Packages heavier than 70 pounds cannot be mailed.
SEALING
Tape the opening of your box and reinforce all seams with 2-inch-wide tape. Use clear or brown packaging tape, reinforced packing tape, or paper tape. Do not use cord, string, twine, masking, or cellophane tape. Place a strip of clear packaging tape over your label to prevent the address from smearing.
RETURN ADDRESS
Print or type your address in the upper left corner on the same side of the package as the delivery address.
EXTRA SERVICES
Place labels for extra services above the delivery address and to the right of the return address, or to the left of the delivery address.
POSTAGE
Use stamps, a postage meter, or a PC Postage system to affix the correct amount. You can calculate and purchase postage online at www.usps.com.
DELIVERY ADDRESS
Print or type the delivery address parallel to the longest side of the package. Type or print clearly with a pen or permanent marker so that your address is legible from an arm’s length away. Do not use commas or periods.
CONFIRMATION SERVICES
Labels for USPS Tracking or Signature Confirmation are placed to the left of the address label.
CITY, STATE, AND ZIP CODE
To find the correct spelling of a city name and state abbreviation or to find a ZIP Code, visit www.usps.com or call 1·800·ASK·USPS. Using the correct ZIP Code helps direct your mail more efficiently and accurately.
DROP OFF
If your mail item weighs 13 ounces or less, and you have affixed correct postage, you can drop it into a blue collection box. If your item weighs more than 13 ounces, and you have affixed postage stamps, you must take it to an employee at the retail counter of a Post Office.

Company
Thanks for checking out our core values! I believe that for a company to be successful, a company’s values have to align with the employee’s values. These have manifested over the years to the ten you see here.
The overall goal of Judith Bright Jewelry is to have a compassionate, supportive all-female work environment that allows us to create a beautiful and soulful handmade product that sustains us and our families. xx, jb
The company was founded by Judith Bright in Nashville, TN in 2005 following a lifelong passion for jewelry and design.
She learned some jewelry-making techniques at Barnsdall Art Park in Los Angeles and during a family Gap Year in Italy, took silversmithing & wax carving classes at Le Arti Orafe school in Florence. She and her family chose Nashville for the entrepreneur-friendly environment. She worked for 2 years teaching herself to make wire-wrapped jewelry and learning about materials and gemstones. She worked on her process and her design voice while selling jewelry from her basement.
Discovering a niche in the market during the recession, the timing was right for her brand of jewelry which is technically called "bridge jewelry". It bridges the gap between fashion and fine jewelry. The difference is in the affordable, but quality materials of semi-precious gemstones, 14K Gold-Filled & Sterling Silver metals and the method of jewelry-making involving securing gemstones with wire, not using heat or chemicals in the production process.
She launched her first website in 2007 and held an open studio on Fridays. She then moved to home shows in Nashville and in various cities across the country. She opened her first store in Nashville in 2010 and now has 2 stores in the Nashville area and 1 store in Franklin, TN. The company employs 8 full-time jewelry artisans and 12 Judith Bright jewelry gurus in sales, production, and management, along with our team of part-timers, seasonal sales associates, and college/high school interns.

1990 Works at Disney for an Australian film director. Main job is to help director not call every female executive “Sheila.” Successfully accomplishes this goal.
