Prom & Spring Formal

Prom Night & Spring Formal, Handled: A Jewelry Guide-

That's JB's own William and Maggie above. She was 14, he was 16, and that prom picture is still one of their favorites. They had no idea that night would turn into a marriage, a family, and a jewelry business they'd run together. You just never know.

So when we say your prom jewelry matters, we mean it. Those photos follow you forever. They show up at the wedding. They show up at the rehearsal dinner slideshow. They show up 20 years later when your kids find them and can't stop laughing at the hair but can't stop staring at how happy you looked.

The dress is picked. The shoes are picked. The hair appointment is booked. Now comes the part that pulls the whole look together and somehow always gets left until the last minute: the jewelry.

We've been helping moms and daughters get ready for prom and spring formals for 20 years. And the one thing we've learned? The right jewelry doesn't compete with the dress. It completes it. A simple necklace that catches the light in every photo. Earrings that move when she dances. A bracelet she forgets she's wearing until someone grabs her hand and says "wait, where did you get that?"

Everything in our Prom and Spring Formal Collection is under $150, handmade in 14K gold-filled or sterling silver, and built to last way beyond one night. This isn't costume jewelry she throws in a drawer on Sunday. This is the start of a real jewelry collection.

For the Classic Dress

If she's wearing something timeless and elegant, keep the jewelry clean and let one piece be the star.

The Gillian Necklace sits beautifully at the collarbone and catches light without overwhelming a neckline. Pair it with the Mini Rock Threaders for a finished look that photographs like a dream. The Madeleine Necklace is another gorgeous option if she wants something with a little more presence. We actually love the two stacked in the same gemstone for a beautiful layered look.

For the Statement Dress

Bold color, unique cut, or a lot going on? Let the dress do its thing and keep the jewelry simple.

The Abby Choker adds a modern edge without competing. The Mackie Necklace is clean and sleek and works with practically any neckline. Pair with our Mini Hoops and add a Thin Stacking Cuff or two on the wrist and she's done. Sometimes less really is the whole look.

For the "I Want to Sparkle" Dress

Some girls want the full moment, and we love that.

The Jewel Earrings are a showstopper. The Brooke Chain Dusters , Mini Rock Threaders, Tres Threaders, Rondelle Dusters, and Camille Dusters are all statement earrings what move and shimmer with every step, which is exactly what you want on a dance floor. Add a set of our 5 Hammered Bands and she'll be the sparkliest person in every photo.

For the Girl Who Keeps It Simple

Not every prom girl wants a big jewelry moment, and that's perfect too.

The Mini Hoops with Rondelle Drops are light, comfortable, and have just enough color to tie into any dress, adding a tiny pop of gemstone without overdoing it. One piece, maybe two and if so, add the  delicate Tres Bracelet in a matching gemstone and she feels like herself. That's always the best look.

Pick a Gemstone That Means Something

Here's the part that makes this gift different from anything she'll find at the mall. Every one of our gemstones carries a meaning. Aquamarine for Inspiration. Moonstone for New Beginnings. Amethyst for Inner Peace. Pick a stone that matches her dress and personality, or the way you feel about her, and suddenly this isn't just prom jewelry. It's a piece with a story.

For the Mom Reading This

We get it. Prom is expensive, it's stressful, and half the time she changes her mind about everything three days before the dance. But this part is easy. Pick something beautiful, pick a stone that means something, and hand it to her the night of. She'll remember that moment longer than she'll remember the DJ.

Everything is under $150, handmade in our Nashville studio, and arrives in complimentary gift wrapping. If you need help choosing, call us or stop by the studio in 12 South. We do this all the time and we love it.
