Sunstone can carry peach, orange, red, or green warmth, sometimes with a lively metallic-looking shimmer. That changing surface gives handmade jewelry from our Nashville studio a small flash of sunlight.

- Peach, orange, or red warmth, sometimes animated by coppery glitter that flashes as the stone moves.
- Family
- A feldspar that can contain tiny reflective platelets, creating the glittering effect called aventurescence.
- Wear
- 6.5–7.2 on the Mohs scale; protect from hard knocks, which can split it along weaker crystal directions.

- In 1987, Oregon named its local sunstone the official state gemstone, celebrating a distinctive regional gem.
