The Rebound- To Be Released 2010
We were thrilled to hear that Catherine Zeta-Jones is wearing some of our jewelry in her upcoming Romantic Comedy “The Rebound”. It’s slated to be released in 2010 and word on the street is that it’s really cute!

Yep, you read that right. The Yiddish Policeman’s Union by Michael Chabon is all that and more. For those of you who might not know, (I didn’t until I read the book), Franklin Roosevelt had proposed creating a safe haven in Alaska for displaced Jews going into WWII. Chabon wrote this novel as if that had passed, and the “frozen Chosen” are set up in Sitka, Alaska. It can be a little challenging to get into, not because the plot is slow – the alcoholic detective protagonist Meyer Landsman is introduced on the first page with a fresh murder to investigate, but the frequent use of Yiddish slang can take a few pages to get used to for those of us who are unfamiliar with it, but don’t let that stop you: the book is brilliant.
